All About Ms. Farias

¡Hola!   I have been teaching  elementary school for 15 years.   I received my multiple subjects credential from National University.   I attended  UCLA and received  a Bachelors degree from the school of Theater, Film and Television.   I try to incorporate techniques culled from my drama training to better help children learn essential skills.  In addition, I have a Masters degree in clinical psychology  from Azusa Pacific University and  I am a licensed marriage and family therapist and life coach.  I love helping children blossom and find their creativity and true potential.

I am blessed to have an amazing son, Ryan Christopher Farias and daughter-in-law, Lily Ablabutyan and two fabulous grandchildren: Liana Michelle and Michael Mehran Farias.

All About ETK

Our primary goal in ETK is to make sure that your child feels safe and welcomed in the classroom.  During the year, your child will participate in fun, exploratory activities and be exposed to lots of great literature.  We will focus on learning through play.  Students will learn to identify, write, and read the letters of the alphabet.  Students will also learn to identify, quantify, and write numbers 1-20. They will be exposed to shapes, colors, and other necessary skills to prepare them to be successful in Kindergarten.  As they come to school, they will also build friendships with their classmates.

Homework Policy

Homework will mostly consist of projects that will be family-based. Take time to go to the library on a regular basis.  Reading daily will foster a love of learning that will prove valuable for the rest of their lives!
