Field Trips

Field trips are an important way for students to learn outside the classroom and have exciting new experiences. Field trips provide students with a window to the real world that they don't get in the classroom, and they can help students understand real-world applications of seemingly abstract topics in math and science.  At Rockdale Visual & Performing Arts Magnet students enjoy several field trips a year to see plays and musicals, visit cultural centers, and learn about our world. Many students retain more knowledge through this type of experience-based learning that field trips provide when compared to in-class learning.
