School Library and Reading Garden

We have a beautiful library. Students visit the library regularly to check out books and for reading and research. Parents can check out books, as well. Rockdale has many ongoing programs to encourage reading, including a Family Literacy Night.

The Reading Garden is a quiet corner of the playground set aside for quiet activities like reading. Decorated with “The Secret Garden” mural and planted with greenery, it was created with the support from a Los Angeles Community Beautification Grant.
